Levitation

(Brief instrumental intro)

High above those distant hills
In a castle tall, above us all
I know someone is out there
Levitating fair, in the crystal air
Anyone who ever tried to venture there
And anyone who ever had the nerve and dare
Seldom ever after were they heard from
Only whispered tales throughout the kingdom
Doubting of the purpose or their wisdom
And so, nothing then was ever written
Of these stories without proof or conviction

Then there comes a time
Without reason, or of rhyme
Secretly, so no one ever knows
Through the silent snows
She comes and goes

And I’m waiting for her down here
Just waiting here
For her to appear
Any moment, in a moment
One more moment, one more moment
One more moment, any moment now
Living through the days in levitation
Hoping to unveil my revelation
For no one is allowed to come and see
Nor anyone has ever met my lady
Living in this dream with no reality
And when someone simply dares to mention
Have I never asked her of the question
Why does she always have to go away?

Ahh! Levitating, Ahh! levitating, Ahh! Levitating, Ahh.

Then before the changing of the season
And the melting snows
Away she goes.
