Ivanhoe

Accused of witchcraft
And tried for sorcery
Lady Rebecca was to die in the early morning
A champion must be found
With so little warning

(Instrumental pause)

A desperate race
Ivanhoe they must trace
And when he was found
He cried, ‘I am for honour bound’
I am for honour bound

He rode through the night
So to greet the dawning
Into the lists, he rode
His warhorse foaming
I fight for right
A lady’s life and honour
My battle axe will face
De Brois' lying war mace

Rebecca stood bound
Her thoughts were churning
Beside the pyre
The torches burning

(instrumental break)

Steel struck steel
The sound of battle raging
Wielded high, war mace flaying
The battle axe slashed
The fearsome weapons clashing
Strong arms thrashed
All armour smashing
Until the last
Neither Knight was standing

What would be the ending?
