A Mother’s Love

A Mother’s love, the purest
And the first you’ve ever known
Always calm and soothing
When you are all alone
A Mother’s love, eternal
Built around a loving home
Any time you’re hurt or troubled
And don’t know what to do
Mother’s love is there to comfort you

A Mother’s love, unerring
Watches over as you grow
Always there supporting
Through your highs and lows
A Mother’s love, forgiving
Has no judgement there on show
And although sometimes scolding
Of the wrong’s that you might do
Mother’s love, always there for you

A Mother’s love, instinctive
Comes straight from the heart
Always there beside you
With wisdom to impart
A Mother’s love, unassuming
Even when you are apart
And in those times of darkness
When your heart is sad or blue
Mother’s love will always see you through

A Mother’s love is an open book
The pages never close
A story with no ending
Over time that story grows
A Mother’s love has no boundaries
Wherever the wind blows
So even when you’re far from home
Across the furthest sea
Mother’s love is waiting for me.

(Instrumental break)

A Mother’s love is an open book
The pages never close
A story with no ending
And so the story grows ………
A Mother’s love

(sung through instrumental outro)
A Mother’s love
Is waiting there for me.
